IMPORTANT DUAS FOR ZIARAT
There are some important Duas that you can recite while doing the Ziarat. We have provided a list for your convenience.
HOW TO APPROACH A SHRINE FOR ZIARAT?
If its possible to go directly to the shrine as soon the person arrives the city, it has its own reward. Try to wear the same clothes you traveled in to. Do not even brush off the dust from your hair. Go as a humble and lowly servant of Allah.
If you are going through your hotel or residence then take a ghusl. During the performance of the Ghusl the niyyah should be that along with the physical body one is also cleaning his heart from spiritual diseases. Because the Ma’sum personality we are visiting is not only aware of our physical being but is also fully aware of our spiritual being. Wear good & simple clothes and apply perfume as well.
Proceed from the residence walking with dignity, reverence & humility with the mind filled with memories and images of the Ma’sum.
Engage oneself constantly with Tasbeeh & Zikr. Always try to avoid vain and useless talks. Dhikr can be either “Allahu Akbar” or “La ilaha ilallaah” or “SubhanAllah”
VARIOUS DUAS PERFORMED DURING ZIARAT
Ziarat Jamia-Kabirah
This Ziarat was awarded by the tenth holy Imam of the Shi'ites Hazrat Imam Ali an-Naqi (A.S.) to Musa ibne Abdullah Nakhee at his request to teach him a comprehensive way of paying homage to any of the infallible Imams during pilgrimage in their shrines or from far away places is an excellent lesson on Imamat by the Imam himself.
Whoever recites this ziarat with love and cognizance of the divinely appointed Imams is purified from diseases of soul and body and all worries if the Imam intercedes for him. A pilgrim, who obeys the Imam, refrains from all sins and all of his good deeds which lack in perfection are accepted by Allah.
Ziarat Ashura
ʻAshūrā’ is not just an event of the past that happened and can be forgotten. There are a lot of lessons that can be derived from Ziārat ʻAshūrā’. As followers of Ahl al-Bayt, we should use this ziārat as reference and a guide for our daily lives.
Ziarat Ameenullah
This is among the most authentic Ziyaraat. These are the words of Imam Zayn al-’Abideen (a.s.) addressing Amirul Momineen Imam Ali (a.s.). Other Masum Imams can also be addressed through this sacred Ziyarat
Ziarat Jamia Aimmatul Momineen
Dua Aliyatul Mazamin
This form of ziarah can be said during visiting all the Holy Imams in all months and days. In his book of Mi¥b¡¦ al-Z¡'ir, Sayyid Ibn has reported this form of ziarah from the Holy Imams along with certain etiquettes, including supplications and a prayer that is offered at leaving for the pilgrimage to the shrines of the Holy Imams. He then added: If you intend to bathe yourself for performing the ziy¡rah, you may say the following words while bathing yourself.
Recite all Duas at least once from Sahifa Sajjadiya
The present volume contains the supplications transmitted from one of the most venerated religious authorities of early Islam, Ali b. al-Husain b. Ali b. Abi Talib, better known as Zain al-Abidin (‘the ornament of the worshipers’). His grandfather, Ali b. Abi Talib, the Prophet’s cousin and son-in-law, was adopted by the Prophet in his childhood, and grew up under the personal care and guardianship of the recipient of the divine Revelation, the Founder of Islam. His grandmother, Fatima, was not only the most beloved daughter of the Prophet, but also a partner in her father’s mission. His father, al-Husain, and his uncle, al-Hasan, the only grandsons that the Prophet had, were brought up by the Prophet, who showered his deepest love and affection upon them. Thus Zain al-Abidin (a.s.) derived his religious and spiritual authority and his divine knowledge in the closest and most intimate way through his father and grandfather from the Founder of Islam, the Apostle of Allah.
